This paper argues that the concept of primal wonder in P4C, proposed by Thomas E. Jackson, can be seen as a “sprout” or seed intellectual virtue. My understanding his insight is inspired Mengzi’s view moral cultivation and Aristotle’s eudaimonist account virtue ethics. According to Mengzi, all humans possess four innate sprouts virtue, aim education nurture these so they grow up into fully ripened virtues. In terms Jackson contends us are born already with special feeling which he refers “primal wonder”. Synthesizing statement agricultural metaphor sprouts, I shall take one step forward arguing sense within every child sprout Additionally, once children’s has been transformed through implementing P4C classroom, this admirable character trait, suggest, should understood an according Aristotelian because promote flourishing, endorsed contention happiest kind life philosophical one, philosophy begins wonder. short, if lead highest good for human beings, then main educational goals doing children, turn their virtuous habit live examined life.
